Do not have much to add on layoffs, it's pretty straightforward and nothing more to add here. However, a lot of locals who work their way into positions of middle management really do not know how to operate a business, I mean, the basics are missing. Also, the whole HCL story is stupid, the IT team is severely lacking, and under investment in IT spend is catching up with us, this will become obvious very soon as you survive a bit without investing into technology, but in the long run you will be hosed.

There is more managerial dead wood than on a petrified tree. Gulfstream doesn't believe in holding anyone accountable for their action or inaction especially HCL's cream of the crop staff. Trying holding someone accountable for poor work performance on the HCL side. Hopefully the new CIO will actually have the balls to kick HCL out. Hopefully she will have the balls to reward the few incredibly smart, talented and devoted folks in IT.
