The service side was way overstaffed with layers of mid management a few years ago & hard to deal with . As a former customer I always enjoyed working with the service technicians on the floor that is what kept me coming back , but they no longer support OPA's or my Challenger . Bad Business decision on their part .

Why do you really think management in Dallas is over staffed? In Dallas your management team does not like what they have been directed to do. Your management team does not like that it is being directed to make "Streamlineing" cuts in Dallas, your management team understands that profit margins set by Savannah are extremely difficult to meet, your management team understands that meeting the unrealistic demands set by Savannah is going to hurt our customer relations and employee moral. You can be assured that your management team in Dallas is doing everything possible to protect your continued career with Gulfstream in Dallas, and are committed to that end! Finally, as I have heard so many times before, don't shoot the messenger as the messenger did not deliver the message without a fight. All of the Gulfstream family in Dallas hurts when one of us hurts and we are hurting now.
There's a good amount of people in management (supervisor, stm and even above at the Dallas site) that are very bad apples. I feel that most of the floor labor holds solid to Gulfstream idealism and values, but are constantly being held back and/or restricted by overbearing leadership that's too concentrated on flowcharts, numbers and schedules. Quality concern is almost non existent and budgets are more important than essential equipment. We've been doing so much, with so little, for so long-We are expected to do everything with nothing. Leadership doesn't lead, and HRs only function is to protect poor management decisions and positions.
I really hope that decision would be reverted. As an on the floor tech, it was nice to get different experiences with other aircraft (even though I started out with bombardier in my aircraft career). We really could do so much more with our dallas site if things remained the same as before.
Why do you think we are overstaffed? We barely manage with exisitng resources
