Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Arbroath culture !

Arbroath is a joke. Management running about trying to create jobs for family and friends. No where left to go but layoffs. Somebody will have to see sense before it's too late. Or is it too late ?

Looks like Carrollton and Singapore will get what's left of the work. No future for Arbroath.

Jeffers and Artie are no fools. Shiny floors and a colourful SQDC board can't hide the Elephant in the room.

They're having some problems drawing up a list of names to go at Arbroath Manufacturing. There's about 150 employees and only 7 different surnames. Looking at the local workforce I'm unsure if that's down to nepotism or inbreeding. Never seen so many dodgy beards and bad facial hair, the men aren't any better

It's all over guys. The arse fell out of the market as out Top Brass decided to buy Baker. We can work harder, leaner and faster but the truth is, we are all screwed. The takeover is floundering and the outcome unknown ,which has the markets shitting it. Got to work with some good guys, and make decend cash. Take care y'all.

nepotism and favouritism always prevails if you have family connections to your manager or are the type to take a bullet for him then relax your jobs safe.

Arbroath will be next I'm sure they sub all there work as they can't do it and as for BOD eh your closely following Arbroath I've seen 1st hand your top machinists and its not that great the bottom line there's no work for any of the UK facilities only 2 facilities will survive and that's Carrollton and Singapore FACT .

Agree with ID: @EDLhfqq-v4y: Way too many old machinist dinosaurs. They will not update their skills, will not update procedures, just keep doing it the way they did it 10-20 years ago even though the product and technology have been updated about 50 times since then. Then they bitch about being fired.

Never mind the managers.Too many old machinist Dinosaur's been here far too long ,hardly produce all week, but still expect sunday overtime, have limited skill set,bad attitude and gossip around the coffee machine. You're too cumbersome to adapt and survive. Costs need cut!!
