Thread regarding Anthem Inc. layoffs

2016 Layoffs@Anthem

There are many rumors right now about possible cuts in Q1 2016 or Q2 2016, but nothing is confirmed. No WARN notices have been filed - i Can tell you that there is a lot anxiety among employees, especially because of the merger and all political maneuvering that's been going on right now - nobody feels safe but we got to work and that's it - you cannot help yourself if you worry too much

I was laid off in October 2015 with no prior notice. ALL of my performance evaluations were excellent. Management cannot be trusted, period. I see the company's performance has decreased signicantly, and I hope it continues for the way they treated me, and others. You reap what you sow!!

I work for Anthem in the Medicaid Claims department. We are on a conference call now where that have told us there were multiple layoffs today. Our claims rework teams and medicare call centers so far in Tampa. They have been given a 30 day notice.

why are they hiring all these people from india and outsourcing from the philippines? I won't say where I work, but it is one of the larger places and they are also hiring temporaries after the occasional small layoffs.

I have also heard that there will be 700 employees laid off. Leadership is being EXTREMELY tight lipped, but Q1 2016 will be a blood bath.
