I went through the same thing. The decision I made to stay and take the demotion affected two other people just because I have 3 kids to support and could not afford to leave. Either I took the demotion or left the company. Those that left didn't even get to finish the schedules for the week we got the news. Lost my 10 hours OT and they just hit all full time TM with a 11% health insurance premium increase.
