Does anyone have the total number of layoffs for NOV? It blows my mind that nothing is reported, I guess I should have taken that job with the comp. at least they are decertified

The axe is coming, but it's happening in small increments so the WARN notice doesn't have to be posted.
The numbers are available...You just have to track and search for them.
Globally, the headcount has reduced just under 12,000 since last November. This includes early retirements, RIFs, performance layoffs, and resignation of positions.
You're right. The number of NOV layoffs are in the thousands this year. Sorry we aren't allowed you provide you with a figure. The number in layoffs will continue to rise throughout 2016.

Has to be in the thousands, worldwide, this year. NOV seems to cut jobs in small groups, so it doesn't make the news, and they avoid having to notify govt agencies ahead of time, except where they had to, like in Norway when they announced 1500 layoffs. I've been gone 2+ months from NOV and am glad for it , even though I took a pay and benefits cut...
