I mean really, going back 40 years...has there been anyone more who promised more and delivered less? I just don't understand what is keeping him in place? It's kind of crazy isn't it? The first meeting I was in he casually bragged about how he was pressuring a vendor to give him a set of Google glasses.....I mean really. This is IT leadership now?

SS is a waste. He has no valuable input at meetings. He does not want any accountability. He will not listen to reason even when told by outside counsel. He will do whatever he wants. His lack of competence has been noted and now it is being brought to HR and the Board as well as a few of his direct reports on their poor performance in the company.

CNS saved his butt.
hey Anonymous187364 thats pretty funny! I am glad I am no longer there. If you still work there, get out.
An accomplishment? Yes, SS has caused the morale of IT to go down 2000% he has spent more money for his trips to India than getting himself leadership training. He has successfully push out a large number of good employees with his directionless leadership. He has hired peons for management that bully and threaten and whine to him when they do not get their way. So yes, he has bee. Successful in lots of things. They are not the positives you might be looking for.
Can anyone list an accomplishment? Even cost structure of IT is higher than ever and performance is in the toilet.
Remember when you sign your Code of Conduct that it is only a tool to be used against the worker bees. It doesn't apply up the management hierarchy. Mr. Heat, you failed!
Speaking from the business, IT has never been worse at Follett. They don't get anything accomplished for a reasonable budget or time, and then when it goes into production get ready to clean up all the issue. Look no further than the most recent eFollett deployment.
The new Follett values in action.
