MINNEAPOLIS (AP)- In a stunning reversal of strategy, CEO Brian Cornell stated in a press conference that he is going to start focusing on real issues within the company. "We realized that focusing solely on increasing stock price led us to completely ignore some major logistical issues that are plaguing our success as a company. Guests don't care about stock price when we at out of stock on just about anything they need. Also, we have determined that to be successful, we have to fix our Point of Sale (POS) system so guests can actually buy the items we actually do have in stock." Cornell also stated that this change of plans hasn't been shared internally yet, and asks the public and media not to inform employees about this strategy change, preferring to let them figure it out after the fact.

Anonymous182593 that is awesome but at the same time sad because its true. The little piggy RC has never feed so much at the trough. I guess I will go play Whack-A-Mole at the Goat Farm.
Sarcasm alert needed?
Ooh! Great Halloween costume idea! I have one too. I'm going to go as RC and steal all the good ideas, take credit for them, lie about the success DevOps has with actual execution at TGT, stab good people in the back, make big claims to MM that I' agile, expense t-shirts, book more speaking engagements, and run up and down the cubicle isles screaming "DEVOOOOooOooOops" while handing out lunch promotional coupons to sweet basils! Win, win, win, win, and win.
My costume is not available at the store and its not available online at target.com.
Amazon is amazing it has everything.
The truth is stranger than fiction. Its fun to be part of the fall of Target. For halloween I'm going wearing red and khaki...the new children of the damned uniform!
Increasing stock price is a measure of success, not a strategy. Ever since Target got confused about that, the company had been going downhill and bad decisions have been made.
And I was shopping on their site tonight for women's clothing for the fall. More than half of the items I tried to order told me to 'Try a Store' as the site was out of stock. Well, with 'inventory management' being the focus at Target, if the site is out of stock, the stores don't have anything. One of the item's I tried to purchase was featured in their ad this week. Sad....
Good one OP <<
Maybe they should stock shelves instead of all the market romp of agile.
As a target employee, I love this post and it's humor...well done OP!
Best "new" strategy I've seen so far. Could be a game changer for Target.
Go Troll!!!!! Super creative of you.
Cornball is truly a zombie!!! Can't fix anything!
