it might take some time to realize it but everything works out okay. People get way to hung up on money. I know, I have been there. You will probably find a great job that you love with way less stress than the Q. I don't work there but I have many friends that do and man I can't believe the shit they put up with. I would have left long ago. Screw stock options. Your life is worth way more... GOOD LUCK!

Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope. Oh you who believe, seek help in patience and prayer. Allah loves the once who are patient. And certainly, He shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but gives glad news to the patient once.

Maybe layoff is a better outcome for you in the long run -- and thus your prayers have been answered but you are too attached to what you know from your small picture understanding. One day you may realize that was the best thing that happened to you. Relax!
