Wishing everyone good luck during this layoff process. Seeing animosity in this group does not represent the support everyone gives/want to give at work. No matter what nationality/race one belongs, at the end it is local communities and people affected suffer. I really hope all of us support each other. No matter what happens today with layoff, it will be challenging time ahead. Lot will change both inside Qualcomm and for people leaving. Hope everyone gets the strength to accept change and come out more successful other side. Really wish mis-management in Qualcomm reduces for its own well being. Good luck!

Don't worry. Qualcomm will do just fine. They can lower their budget by slashing 10% of the American workforce, but by replacing them with cheaper H1Bs, they can get the best of both worlds: lower operating expenses and only a slightly smaller workforce. Qualcomm will be just fine folks!
