Cost cutting is not always bad from a job standpoint. Companies need to pivot to new opportunities to keep the business going/growing, and some employees are collateral damage. But if culture is taking a beating, then no point staying for long.
I've decided to stay home this week. No point in stressing. It's just a job. There will be others. Oh, yeah, and if I don't get laid off then I bet I'll wish I had. Who wants to work at a company that's cost cutting anyway? Where's the fun in that?
Asked my manager jokingly. His response was so unlike him. Guess, I am on the way.
