Very few ex employees I know are bitter. Most received hefty raises in their new positions, are valued for their work, have meaningful tasks that keep them busy and make the day fly by. No stock ticker blasted on the computer screen. Still have great benefits and PTO. Maybe I'm just speaking for myself, but the word "bitter" couldn't be further from the truth.
This is the reality, not people being lazy. There are those that act busy, but we know you don't do shit.

When I was there, performance was based strictly on how much time you could block off on your Outlook calendar. Didn't matter at all what it was, as long as your status said "in a meeting" you must have been doing something important.
I used to schedule meetings all day that revolved around useless projects to make myself seem busy and important! It worked wonders, I was promoted to department manager so quickly I didn't even have time to become qualified for it! I messed things up pretty good and then left. Now I'm back! :)
