I'm staying busy to avoid boredom and worry. I think that's what everyone else is doing as well. I hope no one thinks any last ditch efforts to present themselves as exemplary employees will work. If there is a list it has been prepared and signed off on.
Do what you gotta do to keep your mind off it. Which reminds me I need to stop checking this site every hour. ;)

Back in 2013 I was in working on Saturday to finish up a big project. I was very happy to get it finished and turned in on Monday. I was laid off on Tuedsay!!! Busy had nothing to do with it!
Agreed, also it's not as if there are people walking around with clipboards checking people off who "look busy." The roster of those being let go has already been well established so that HR can prepare their packages.
Hey, dummies, staying busy is irrelevant. You're just a number (Bob Seger), they couldn't care less if you're a good employee or not. Some REALLY GOOD workers were let go last time. It is all about the numbers.
I know. All very good points. I'm definitely staying busy. I don't want to give them an excuse to let me go. I love working here. Making a conscience decision to stop worrying. Whatever happens, happens.
According to Devons page today is their day. I'd guess 22nd for us if it is even going to happen. I'm keeping busy in the meantime. We can't change what may already be in the works so just pray you aren't cut and if you are that our severance package is sufficient.I don't think any group is safe at this point.
Maybe less stressing and more working, and you won't have to stress so much.
