Is it true the Huntsville Weatherford on 75 is closing? I hear they got rid of all machinist on night shift. no one left in warehouse and 1 lady doing shipping stuff. is all of this true? it sounds like they are closing that one? but they have jobs posted?? Simply Hired - they have 2 Drafter II positions that were posted 10 days ago and the location say Huntsville???

@Yea right Doesn't it strike you as odd the sudden push for crosstraining right now? I was told just days before the push for it started that the company couldn't afford for me to have the training(both in the minimal cost for in house training and the perceived loss of productivity for me to get some training on a furlough day). They are just doing it to see who they can get to do extra work for no extra pay. I had a manager admit that they were simply removing the tiers that the crosstraining would allow people to get to(at least financially). So you could become a general field operator or engineer, but your pay(base at least and possibly extending to bonus) wouldn't go up any, and all of the salary positions wouldn't have been able to get any extra money at all. And if they were able to declare some people at least temporarily redundant, 59 day layoffs until they were needed.
Just a guess but I'd say if they're closing and still hiring it's because one hand at WFT doesn't know what the other one isdoing. It's a really screwed up place.
if this place is really closing then why are they moving people to learn new machines and training people to do new things this post is bs
Unfortunately? SHITTT i don't know about the rest of you that were screwed long and hard by this company... But I AM HAVING A PARTY AS SOON AS I SEE THEM GATES CLOSE FOR GOOD!!!!!! All of those ass wipes that didn't think their asses would be gone after working there for 15-20 or more years... well what now ... now TRY go find a job where you can try that shit of being a racist, stealing, lying, harassing, ass kissing, laziness and everything else you guys been doing.... no seriously .. HAPPY JOB HUNTING or go lay some carpet.
