It seems to me that NOV is full of incompetent people and that most of those with true brain power have been either let go or have left of their own accord. Just think..... Bosses want those who they can manipulate, mold and get to do their dirty work. Smart and highly intelligent people will not participate in that game and therefore serve no benefit to their immediate bosses. Those who are less competent will play dirty and do the dirty jobs just to get ahead. The end result is s loss of ethics and a loss of true competence. I have seen some pretty competent people let go recently who have taken this company forward to the next level. What happened? Their boss did not like them and HR found an excuse that would work. All the head people should be ashamed because when the talent goes so does the credibility with customers. I can tell you for a fact that customer satisfaction is way down and the NOV name is quite tarnished. There are so many levels of incompetent management at all the divisions. Wellbore is full of incompetent people who exist based on their friendships with the boss, their idiocy, or their inate ability to weasel their way to the top by being dumb. Dumb and Dumber 3 if you ask me!!!

I have something to add to that there was a VP of Rig Solutions did not want David Reid to take one of his sales reps to Corporate Marketing to be VP of Marketing so he moved this sales associate up to Rig solutions Director of Marketing, that person had no Marketing experience, that person was rejected be the Next Generation program, so it goes back to who you know. What does that say about NOV ethics?

You nailed it my friend. If you come up with a solution to a problem, innovative idea or suggestions on ways to improve processes, etc., sociopath/psychoath manager will say, that's a great idea! I'll pass that along to upper management, only to find out you've instantly become a marked person by your morose incompetent low-life scumbag covert narcissistic manager who will stop at nothing to bully, harass, show hatred with a smile, contempt, demean & insult every chance he/she gets, to get you to permanently leave NOV. If you decide to stay and continue to show leadership, professionalism, competence and optimism regardless on how low your incompetent manager stoops to try and destroy your reputation and your credibility with the help of her mob-gang of course. Manager will become paranoid then she'll up her game to the next level which means damaging your personal property, go on a full blown smear campaign, steal your identity & use it to make your life a living hell. This is all true. It happened. Restraining order and lawsuit in the works. I blame the CEO and VP including those in HR who are fully aware and allow these horrific things to happen by those they put in these manager positions when instead they should be in a mental institution.
