Pharmacy and clinics should be done before January. Once again it makes no sense as the clinics were losing money and so Target continues to spend money to lose money there.

Can't believe how long they continue to drag this out. After being spared in a few earlier rounds (not a TTS person), I left of my own accord for a great gig at a new company. Amazed at how bloated Target felt after leaving. If the company is serious about being entrepreneurial and compensating competitively with the market, the 11,000 HQ staff needs to be cut in half. Too many committees, too many decisions being vetted with people who have no stake in it, too. much. fat. The more they choose to not address this, the more the competition will continue to race past them.
Oh yeah...and start with the easy ones. JK to start. Merch sr. leadership needs to be cleaned up to make way for new, up-and-comers more connected with emerging shoppers. If not for lackluster comps the since 2007, the company would not be where it is.
yes Anonymous148465 .... dotcom got tons of people who are not doing anything and sitting around...dotcom must go through some RIF....
Here it is: http://www.startribune.com/target-lays-off-235-in-twin-cities-tech-operations-40-in-india/323638631/ "Chief Executive Brian Cornell said in an interview with the Star Tribune last month that the number would not be “huge” compared with the layoffs earlier this year. He also said the worst of the layoffs are behind the company, but did not say when they would be over. One area still on the chopping block is some of Target’s corporate workforce involved in its pharmacy business. The company has acknowledged that some layoffs will likely result once a pending deal to sell its pharmacies to CVS Health is completed." They've said all along that this would take two years. They say the worst is over, the big layoffs are done. There will be, and always have been, smaller layoffs and re-orgs at Target but the Red Weddings are over, so them say.
The next layoffs according to a recent article in the Strib will be in the Pharmacy area - January sounds like a reasonable timeframe for at least some of the layoffs.
i heard some layoffs in January in the Dotcom area as they were not cleaned up in the september 1st round..
Mike said TTS will not lay off team membrrs. Reductiond will come from contractors.
Heard those asking about layoffs will be targeted as they have to much time on their hands. Just drink your juice box and preach the DevOoops gospel and all will be fine.
