@Anonymous149373 - I am also a spouse (a bit reverse, as my wife works at Seagate and I am a stay at home dad) - this week is horrendous, I just hope all turns out fine

The WARN Act only applies of a mass layoff is over 50 employees at a single location and that the number is 33% of the headcount at the location.

It's actually the WARN Act just for reference. Unless a certain number of employees are impacted at a location a WARN Act is not required.

On top of that, you usually are an employee for 60 days, then the package kicks kick in. Heard Seagate is getting away from the 60 days down to 30 days - this is against the WAREN Act

In the past, it was 2 weeks/year for people with 10 years or more at Seagate. For people with 5-10 years, it was 1.5 weeks/year. However, I am not positive about the experience cutoff for the increased severance.
