Assuming layoffs happen, what group(s) do you think will be targeted?

Somewhere between 10-15% are going across the company and Across all departments, except of course building one where the fat pigs will still be slopping it up. Good luck all..if you find a job you will be lucky to get a quarter of the benefits.

Not sure financially it's smart to cut IT right now with SAP being implemented.

Well most executives are idiots and think it's easy to run an IT department so like so many sheep before them, they'll cut IT. Then when things start turning around and they need more IT people, they'll have to pay a premium to attract them because no one will work for them. The Oil biz is a small community and IT is an even smaller subset - be careful how you treat the nerds.

I think every group will take a hit but heavier in the Land, Legal and IT groups since they are typically big targets.

Accounting will likely be hit this time too. I think there will be cuts across the board. Ironically, Legal may be alright because we should have plenty of owner lawsuits continuing to pile up.
