I think the stock price will have a decent rebound, but it will only be dragged up by the overall market. Too much debt and not diversified properly. The product lines that they wanted to sell probably already had very low margins at $60 a barrel, so now they are probably sucking the company dry. And since Weatherford is all about the appearances, they'll sink the ship to save face for a few more years instead of just closing down the product lines that they need to close
They bring "good" things to life. Wft is a weakend spined ore hauler in a huge storm with many hatch covers ripped loose.

Wft is not a good thing right now and GE wouldn't touch it unless they saw potential to sell off product lines and make money.
Unfortunatly wft would have a hard time having a yard sale to make a big score.

They may be taking a lot of game plans out of Big Reds playbook of total inept, incompetent mismanaging skills but you can't starve a business into success.
I'm vey familiar with a couple of GE acquisitions: converteam and Wood Group ESP. Weatherford? GE does not take chance on this crap taco.
Having said that, anything is possible if price is right (low enough).
GE will lay you off also, they are no different than the others. All American companies are greedy, all they care about is lining their own pockets.If all else fails and they file bankruptcy, we the taxpayers will bail them out. Ask GM and all the others.
