All the names that I heard were hard workers and work dedicated people... All managers who self centred, never care for their team or Target are retained.. I got to know that decisions are based on survey and inpit fron managers. Its so stupid. Even for layoff MM and BC believing in management. Lost hope on restructure. Mike this is not going to work.. Please do remove all useless management.

145747 - glad to see you're such a true believer..........and just because you and I don't know the plan, doesn't mean there IS a plan either. Don't know the individuals that were part of this layoff, but the March casualties were some of the best people the company had. Since even that wasn't the first round of cuts, one would think a plan would be in place (since they've been working on it for a year), and for any company to move forward, the entire "team" would/should be aware of what said plan is. Right now, it's just short term savings by cutting staff, especially the "working" staff with a lot of knowledge (which of course means the more expensive staff).
145660 - I'm simply saying that your premise that they don't have a plan in a fallacy. Likewise, the idea that they shouldn't layoff "hard workers" is also a false statement, because their plan involves team structure more than some metric "effort". Just because I don't know the plan, and you don't know the plan, does not mean that there is no plan.
There isn't any strategy. That company has no idea what it's doing. Anonymous145660 has it right - it's not based on hard work, it's based on complete bullshit. The Kool-Aid Man is running wild through the building today free refills for everyone!!!! All flavors!!! There's little to no hope for Target actually rewarding the hard workers. Meh. Just be paycheck players people. Brian Cornell is doing exactly what he has done in the past with other companies. He's not doing anything out of the ordinary for him. Go on take the money and run people. Before I left (on my own a few years back) I was drinking on the job, surfing the internet all day. Taking long lunches and putting in punch corrections for them, and listening to Guests (who were just other employees) bitch about things. Target is not a great company anymore, so do what you can and get through the day and go home to your families. Ultimately f**k Target, look out for yourself.
Ok 145702/145704.........................what is this so called strategy that you are so intent on defending?
Correction: @ 145690
145660 - "if Target still doesn't know the path forward". That's your opinion. The layoffs are not based on your opinion.
Oh please 145660, how were these "needed skills" assessed if Target still doesn't know the path forward (short of saving money by cutting staff - which isn't a long term strategy).
And if your kmg leader has a backbone to stand up for you
Layoffs are not based on whether somebody is a "hard worker", they are based on the needed skills, positions, and to remove redundancy.
