Have you noticed that the only metric for offshore viability is cost per hour? The effectiveness of most offshore services is a myth. Typical myopic vision on the part of large corporates.
If one quantified the impact of other factors such as turnover, travel, cost of knowledge transfer, continual retraining, lowered customer satisfaction, poor quality and other measures of low productivity, it would be a no brainer to keep most services onshore.
They are looking at closing India, it is cheaper to setup in the Philippines, so they will be doing the needful and moving there, better quality employee also... Seen the vision before I got let go in March.

When Beth Jacobs was in charge of the call centers, she is the one who brought in the India call centers. This has ALWAYS been a pain for the teams who have to take the calls when irate guests get mad they are speaking to someone in India. I says we have more than capable people in the USA who can fill all roles that Target needs, particularly in the Tech field. I do understand the idea of a 24/7 global workforce and can see the benefit of having team members in India and other countries. I think there has to be a better way to leverage talent and hire workers who have an investment (and work for) with Target.
Please do the needfull and close it down, they can rent the building out as apartments and there is room for 30,000 plus 2 cows.
Shut it down!
Why they get free food, paid next to nothing and Bob Ulrich and Paul SInger wanted them... India pays Target to keep them there so slave labor is a good thing for the bottom line for Brian. He will KILL TARGET slowly... Lets go all organic yea that is what the people want !
Take away free lunch and most will quit
