Does anyone have a idea what happens on Wednesday (assuming Sept 1 is really the layoff date)? When our Dept was hit earlier this year nothing of substance came after - tasks were reassigned to the remaining staff and work carried on with no material changes. I can't believe with all this talk of Transformation that the same will happen in TTS. Do any of the few people who read this board know what The New World Order is going to look like?

Just take a deep crap the morning prior and let the excrement go the morning after. You will go numb for 2 weeks before you can make your first call to a recruiter.
We'll be just fine without all the TTS noise/finger pointing etcetera
This board is going to be very bore full once tts ax falls.
In my experience in dealing with the aftermath of the March layoffs (which didn't hit TTS), I found several business partners from other groups were let go, and in some cases, entire teams. Most projects were either put on hold or scrapped entirely. Teams were (seemingly randomly) rearranged, reporting structures changed, and everything just stopped. In the last six months, work has been replaced by a never ending stream of frantic, last minute projects that are knee-jerk reactions to some out-of-context thought overheard in the bathroom uttered by some random executive that some leader took and ran with, proclaiming it to be the next sliced bread. Until that project is then replaced by an equally asinine concept within the next week or day or minute. I watch leadership run around, desperate to remain relevant and protect their phoney-baloney jobs (hurumph!). Except no one knows what that actually means anymore. And we have heard nothing since March on how everything is gonna actually work. "Less with less" is a joke. Work has only become "stress, stress, stress." With no end and no explanation in sight.
In TTS, the only positions will be Engineering Manager, Scrum Master, Engineer. The SMs and Engs will report to the Engineering Mgr. There will also be Product Manager and Product Owner positions, but these will not be in TTS but rather in the business. group Managers and Directors are at risk as there's a shift to only having one layer between Engineering Manager and VP.
Utter confusion is what starts on Wednesday morning and the messaging around we need you to help shape the future as we as senior leaders are to f@&&ing dumb to establish and communicate a vision
No one who haunts this site on a Sunday morning knows anything. Those who do have thoughts about what comes next have enough sense to keep their mouths shut. You can bet that the slogan from earlier this year, "'do less with less"" will work out as well going forward as it did in the past.
