Moved out Target in 2014 and happy now

it will be a bit of struggle to get job outside , but it will be worth trying instead of counting the days here

Anonymous143685 - you are correct. the same behaviors are still being exhibited today at a large scale in the DevOps movement and being rewarded. where they spend all their time stealing ideas, inflating the real value of their accomplishments, and getting promoted, without real results, just an ideology and a cool Gene Kim book and some t-shirts. That must still be enough to fool sr. leadership. nothing has changed

TTS leadership made it to the top due to the oligarchic systems that prevails in US corporations. "Belong to the club" crap. If it were mere meritocracy, people like Steinhaffel, Beth Jacobs, and other VPs as well as GMs as Vicki Wold and many many others would not even be promoted to anything. There is no meritocracy at Target. All there is is how to look good in front of decision makers and that means even making your peers look bad.

Most companies lay off people. The only difference is that Target has an active forum here :-). Other than the TTS VP leadership sucks right now and have for some time. Not sure how they made it to that level. That may be a good reason to leave.
