Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

I have an offer on hand. Incase, they lay me off on 9/1, will they give a relieving note indicating my last day as 9/1 or 11/1?

Don't say anything until you read the paperwork. You would get to take home the huge packet to read before you agree to anything.

Whatever gets you the most severance. Take the new job and then read the paperwork to see who you can max the payout. Stay mum on the new job until you did that.....

if you are laid u are given an option to put the Dates u want max upto 2 months

this is what said for the people who were laid during Last time

You will have option to choose ur relieving date on or before 11/1 as required by you to join your new employer.
