Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

MPLS AND TGT INDIA

THere has been so much bad written about Target India. However who.sank 100 million each in.Bi, pharmacy, DC outsourcing etc.? MPLS... RIGHT???

TI FOLKS ARE PAID PEANUTS BUT THEY ARE BETTER VALUE THAN THE MONKEYS IN MPLS, oR TCS OR OTHER EXPENSIVE PET VENDORS.

And, when TI does a good project, then mpls starts piling up faults to.blame them, and when a vendor does even a grave mistake they are 'partners'. Screw you mpls. Be thankful that there are people that make your fat paychecks keep coming by getting less pay for same work

I was offered a 6 week severance + 1 wk / year experience. What's anyone else getting? I heard ppl affected by March layoffs, they got 15-17 weeks, the HR bimbo said that's untrue. What kind of packages are you getting?

Tcs and cognizant should be banned from entering Target. It worries me that they exercise too much control on us - the team members. We pay them and it seems like we are working for them

I am not from TTS and will never see the big picture of what you all do each day. I thank you for all that you do. I can tell you that from my direct interactions over the years on new systems, enhancements/stability, or band aids that were put over another band aid to keep the systems working; I notice a big difference with contractors and actual Target team members. I do see a difference with people who work directly for the company have a much bigger investment in the overall being of our systems. They have always been great to work with and are fun (and funny) people. The contractors, including the outside companies, have been so frustrating to work with. I seem to go around in circles on every conversation. I don't understand how Target can say that our infrastructure is so important, but don't invest in the people to run and maintain the data. The amount of people who are working on all of our systems and do not have that direct personal investment in the company scares me. I wish you all well and thank you for the work and effort you have put into the company.

MPLS team has landed in problem because of lack of trust with their counterpart Target India, the biggest issue is TCS were just bitching about Target India, stinky TCS chennai people staying in ramsgate who have converted apartment into slum were responsible for this entire mess, they still have the age old idea, i can pin point of couple Indian folks in Solution Engineering & Architect group who are Indians and always bad mouthed about Target India, always maintained lowey dowey relationship with TCS folks, here is the people Solution Engineering JR, RP, PA, SK and from Architect group is GR, ST, JN, SK, DS

Target India has a horrible turnover and many of their people that partner with Minneapolis have a horrible English that makes it hard to conduct meetings. Nobody forced you to accept the job. Find something better. Although you are partially right. BI, Pharmacy, Canada, etc all the mess was conceived, financed and executed by the people in Minneapolis. Target India had its place when it made sense to "internally outsource" IT labor. But someone tried to outsource things you shouldn't, like Business Analysis and Project Management. The worst project managers I've seen in my career come from India. You are good at Java, .NET, HTML5, ETL-Informatica, DB2 and mainframe. Don't try things like being a PM or BA.

Consumer prices in the United States is 209% higher than in India. Rent is over 500% higher in the U.S. Food prices well over 300%. Do the financial math..it all adds up to better wages overseas!! Everyone employed should shut up and be thankful!! Let's stop bashing each other we are one team. Good luck to everyone thru this ordeal, I wish everyone the best.
