Thread regarding Aetna Inc. layoffs

Coventry Legacy lay offs?

I am with Coventry, acquired by Aetna, I have survived 5 or 6 lay offs in my almost decade with the company. We had two earlier this year..my department was offshored and currently a few positions remain but they are auditors for the offshore people, does anyone know if they plan to offshore the rest of it? I read with the Humana buy out, they plan on cutting back about $1 billion by 2018..I'm assuming this means anything related to Coventry will be offshored. Does anyone know when the next lay off will be?

We just called in to a meeting in Pittsburgh and they mentioned 800 layoffs (but 400 of those had jobs lined up internally), they did mention IDX and legacy Coventry personnel. Also they were going to re-asses the whole WAH thing and maybe start pulling people back in per Mark Bertollini.

9/2016----I know someone very close to me who was in IT. He was a Coventry Legacy employee and his job was outsourced to India very recently. Aetna did him dirty!! Ripped him off.

I can see how home health aides and nursing assistants have a high turnover, meaning high "burn out" rate. Seriously, how many bedpans and filthy linens can you deal with before you get completely turned off to a point where the money isn't worth it anymore. Besides, those are usually very low pay jobs and shouldn't be.
