They talk about change, efficiency being agile, and work.different but when it comes down to it, they are too afraid to actually make the changes and be the first one to step up. I am so tired of the talk, let's do something and move forward. I feel still stuck! I just want to know what to do and what to expect. My teams have brought up great suggestions for new ideas for improvements, changes to our hours to be flexible for our families, ways we can improve and streamline our internal/external partners business and communication. We keep getting shot down and told maybe someday and have to bury our head down with the crappy systems that keep going down every week and have not made any real changes since March. The Managers do not want to make any waves or stand out at this point. Anyone else experiencing the same thing? Any suggestions on what to do or know of areas that need a good solid employee who wants to help build Target back up?

They never left... Call it innovation
Target is doomed. Simply because they did not handle layoff correctly. No doubt people had to go. But if you don't let go of bottom performers first anyone with talent will leave.
I had one manager imply that they know someone needs to go, but they don't want to fire them yet. They are afraid that HR will not allow them to backfill the position right now.

Same in my area. It is so depressing, nobody has any motivation or desire. Nothing uplifting coming from top down and we are restrained by our own leaders.
It will always be the same shit no matter how you spin it.
I agree, it is the same in my area. They lay off layers of people and add layers of work to the remaining team members. I believe it is a strategy to see if they can encourage more team members to leave. I have never worked in this toxic of a work environment.
I agree, seeing the same in my department. I think it is funny that they took out layers, but they keep adding them back in.
It's not just you. We still have the same people we've always had they just have shiney new titles now. Leadership brought this massive org change about and then just dropped people into slots on a spreadsheet with little to no thought. Where's the "leadership" now??? What are the goals? Where's the training? We're not supposed to let the ball drop from our old roles but somehow still have time to learn all the new stuff?? What a f**king joke. Oh but at least all the DMG+ promotions are getting back on track so that should save us.
