Does anybody know long can I receive the severance check it’s more than a month and who should contact about it? thank you.

After 32 years with the company I am receiving 26 weeks. What a slap in the face....

The severance packages are described more generous than they are, but the packages are livable and do offer cobra. Hopefully most will find a new job before the package runs out. Those of you awaiting performance appraisals, beware, you are probably next.
It's 1 week for every year you were there plus a possibly added 2 weeks.
For hourly and commissioned employees that have been employed at least a year is about 3 months pay.

Minimum 6 weeks pay for everyone, then 1 week pay for each year of service over six years. Max is 28 weeks. Cobra also offered, based on length of service.

I thought it's a week for each year of service, it's capped at 8 weeks. That's what I remember, but I left in 2008
I'd like to know the same - anyone please?
