Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Time for Target to merge with Walmart

There is no longer room for two major brick and mortar discounters to compete with Amazon and future on-line competition. Combine forces and you have a chance, otherwise keep canabalizing each other at their gain and your demise.

I find it downright hilarious that Target continues to think it competes with Walmart. It only goes to show that management has an incredibly inflated ego, while using phrases like "best in class" or "industry leader" or "best company ever". Last time I checked, Walmart had 3,000 more national stores than us. And if you count international, they have almost 10,000 more stores and are in 28 different countries. We couldn't even figure out Canada. Canada! America lite! But Target sells milk and diapers too (when they're actually on the shelves) so we must way better than everyone else because we're the best. We told ourselves so. Target is full of pompous assholes who have had one too many coffee statuses to regale others about their imagined greatness. If anything, Walmart will eventually absorb whatever shell of a company is left of Target after the board has finished enriching themselves and stockholders. That's all that matters. Remember that when you come to work again. Your job is there to make them rich, not to be an industry leader or a great company. Yes, I know, all companies need to make money and appease stockholders. But Target walks around the playground with shit in their diaper and sand up their nose declaring how great they are to all, when there are other companies doing REAL good and REAL transformation in the world that a discount retailer could never fathom. Because Target is too busy telling itself how great it is to notice that it really isn't.

You are dumb. So you would also recommend Ford, GM and Chrysler to merge and form one vehicle company? hmmm - I like Kraft ketchup, but my cousins love Heinz... what if they merge and offer 'Krafteinz" ketchup?

You are dumb and you probably put a plastic cover on your PC to prevent it from catching viruses...

It would fall in line with the new regime.... Sell or close the parts of the business they are too stupid to figure out.

Amazon does not need Target, they could wait till Target folds and buy stores and assets at fire sale prices.
