Have folks found jobs after ISP? Wondering how was their experience. Serious answers please no trolls. Has anyone got contract job with Intel again after ISP?

Yeah I just applied for a position as a contractor and I was asked to call a Intel HR number to see if I was eligible. I was told I can never ever come back to the company as GB or BB. Just because of family I have to stick around this place where only major employers are Intel HP and micron.
4 is an idiot. If he was such a good, talented engr he would have found a job by now. His ISP was justified.
How did person #3 get a contractor job? Last I heard ISP people had a lifetime ban on both direct (blue-badge) and contract (green-badge) work at Intel.
I knew 4 people that got ISP, here's how they've faired 12 weeks later:

Retired, looking for consulting work, but not really very hard.

Found job locally with identical if not slightly better pay and benefits.

Back at Intel working as contractor doing the exact same job. (?!?!)

Has not found a job. Did not sign the release (forfeited separation package worth around $90K), probably to keep legal options open. Manager gave employee double the average salary raise (same as you would get with an "Exceeds" rating) but low stock level two years in a row. Other team members got lower salary raises but more stock (supposedly because they were already hitting salary-cap for their grade-level). HR denied appeal.
Long term unemployment. Get used to it.
I had some skills that are in demand, so I had a new job lined up before Intel walked me out. Apparently, many are not so lucky.
After ISP, I quickly found out that most of Intel's design skills are not applicable to industry standards so I am not able sell my Intel's experiences as well.
After many failed job searches and failed interviews, I finally realized that maybe I do suck even after working for Intel for 15 years. I need to find a different career now.
Advice from a recently employed VSP
Don't waste your time working with technical recruiters or submitting resumes on company websites. Your chances to be selected for an interview by doing this are minimal!
Instead, find a good employee referral for each company you are applying for (closer to your area is better): schoolmate, past Intel co-worker or even a random guy from linked-in. Ask them to submit your resume and forward it to a hiring manager - this will quickly result in phone interview, I promise. Then study all of the interview questions available on glassdoor.com, and soon you'll have multiple offers to choose from.

As a person on ISP who hasn't been able to find work, there is nothing more depressing than to read these stories about how quickly people found another job, paid more, etc. It's easy to brag about that if you have been fortunate, but it just makes the rest of us feel like crap.
I got a job offer June 19th, 4 days after ISP. It pays more and I haven't been this happy since I started my career. Intel was unbearable work place.
With a name like Dileep none of that matters.
Intel is the only place I have worked since graduation from college 20 years ago. I am struggling with interviewing, resume writing, and just general job search and discussing my skills. I was totally not prepared for this ISP and was caught off guard. Recruiters do not have much faith in me because of the low performer perception.

How many people got laid off this ISP? How is the breakdown site wise.
It takes time to realize after you leave Intel (even if you leave voluntarily) that it is a new beginning and not the end of the world.. The trolls on this site are probably not helpful so ignore them. Many jobs are available, and many have the talent to start a new business or join in join new booming businesses. Some pay more some pay less, but you will adjust. Some evidence suggests MMJ is effective at treating stress and PTSD if you are suffering. I saw on CNN yesterday that about 75% of doctors favor cannabis helpful and relatively safe. Use your Cobra benefit to consult with your doctor because it isn't good for everything and some conditions can be made worse. Some dispensaries are offering discounts to Intel employees. The real problem at Intel is that it used to be a big deal if you were selected to be on the VSP list. VSP people used to panic and know that they were at least on the "mediocre" performance list and may be on the next layoff list. Then Intel started to implemented general VSPs covering most in a department. People no longer worried being on VSP recently because it happened so often...until this latest ISP.

The only way the ISP debacle could have been avoided was to have managers verbally tell their people about the layoff and that selection process was a secret.
Well, it was a big story for those laid off. BK and execs decided on a selection process for the layoffs, those affected complained, BK had to then explain that the process was to select repeat underperformers, those affected still complained that they were not warned, process leaked to media, those laid off now publicly labeled and shamed into being fired for underperforming. Nice job of treating your former employees, Intel.
In retrospect, wouldn't it have been better for the story to not leak to the media? Intel didn't publicly announce ISP, so the stigma wouldn't be there if people didn't turn it into a big story.

Looking back now, I wished I had taken the VSP when it was offered. I could have avoided the stigma of being an underperformer from the last Intel ISP.

I am one of the Intel ISP people. It feels like my wife divorced me and announced thru Facebook and Twitter that I was a terrible husband and lover. Nobody will date me now.

I have had no luck. The perception out there is that those laid off from Intel in July are underperformers. I am not even able to get interviews because of this. Thanks, Intel.
