I know kip and don too. lol. they never had the competence to get to a CEO position. There in lies your answer. Get some world class CEOs if you want to compare Doug to anyone.....

If you ever get the balls to ask him a simple question about competence.... ask him what Kip Endris and Don Pence would think about all this bullsh!t that he has brought on the company!!! Historic CHK overpaid some areas and severely underpaid others. Let's not put a halo on how they were the star of the industry with how well they paid OKC employees. Fact- The most overpaid were the former executive who ALL were out paid in comparison to other industry companies. It's all public record. Look it up and do the comparisons.
Doug's greed and incompetence???? You have to be a completely idiot if you believe that. He has probably LOST income by coming to try and save CHK. Probably he and every other APC person is losing money daily because they left a company that MAKES money! CHK is in the place it's in for one reason - and one reason only - Aubrey Kerr McClendon and his band of corrupt merry men/women - who racked up a ton of shit assets in a land grab and over leveraged a company with over 11 BILLION DOLLARS of DEBT. Then took more money in greedy severance than Doug will ever make at CHK. That and only that is the reason CHK has issues today. All Doug has done is try to salvage a "gold painted TURD!"
Your absolutely right CHK has done more for OKC oil and gas employees than any other company. They will rebound if natural gas prices ever come back. But that's a long row to hoe. In praying for all the great folks over there.
Yeah - I'm with you that CHK is no Holy Grail. But it's kinda sad to see what's happened over the last few years. Also you've got to give CHK credit for something they did do VERY well - they paid high salaries to attract talent. This has forever changed the OKC work landscape. Prior to CHK paying such high salaries, companies would pay workers wages that were WAAAAY below national averages. The justification was that OKC's cost of living was so low.....so it offset the other markets. However CHK changed all that when they started paying high wages. To compete, other companies have had to up their pay also. This has been nothing but good for the OKC employees and it continues to this day. I'm not saying CHK does everything right but this really has been outstanding for OKC employees, the OKC economy and our state and they really deserve a LOT of the credit for this.

Lets pray for the best to happen for all are brothers and sisters left behind. No one likes to see someone else lose their Job because of Doug's greed or incompetence.
