Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Now since Intel combined the mobile and PC (laptop desktop and others) into CCG (client computing group)..

It is getting difficult to get an insight into it's mobile computing group. How long can the company keep suffering losses. It will eventually shut down its atom line at some point. I dont think Intel x86 architecture can beat ARM chip makers. Will it layoff folks from atom group?

Disclosure: ex Intel employee. Just concerned about friends still working there.

Core M and "most scalable" core architecture should be a omen for things to come. Core uarch getting into fanless devices and "compute" stick. Already almost no chromebooks are atom based. Microservers? please. Tablets and other contra revenue device are only solace for atom. Intel can never afford to sell atom for the price ARM vendors sell. Atom will be squeezed from the top by core. From bottom by ARM as always. Good luck Austin!
