Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Help me. I am a renter.without Q building new buildings. 5000 undocumented workers...

.. might not find jobs. How will these 5000 undocumented workers affect the real estate prices in Delmar or la jolla ? Will prices correct 50%+ in Delmar or la jolla because there are 5000 less buyers shopping in these areas??? ??????? ??? According to Tribune article, I think these 5000 undocumented workers will drastically affect home prices along the ocean in San Diego. There will be 5000 less qualified buyers for these million and multimillion dollar homes.... Thoughts?????

Not the 15000 cheap workers, but the 5000 high paid workers being laid off (if you include temps, other companies in SD) that will affect housing price. 15000 cheap workers will affect Clairmont, El Cajon, in land.

Why short or go long in the market when volatility is the name if the game...especially when the volatility benchmarks are just coming off of a historic low...But hey, I am sure a lot of you whiners missed or will miss that boat too....

I agree with you housing market will crash 50% by March 2016 as China getting into recession more lay offs coming in San Diego nobody will buy at bubble, same trend was observed in 2008, time to crash now. Everybody saying that.
