Who cares what the number is this time around, they can just do another round in a month or two or whenever the roll of the dice lands on 7.

Fact is most people I work with left mentally 6 months ago but keep coming in to collect a paycheck. Target killed loyalty and enthusiasm, mostly zombies left anyway. Does not matter how many are layed off next week, those remaining will be giving a lot less than their best from here forward. You are welcome BC, this is what you created.
- I agree with you and guessing it will be a low number isn't meant to be insensitive to the people who will be impacted - each one of the RIF'd will have their own story and situations - the lucky ones are the people who want to go anyway, are in good health, have good job prospects or are ready to retire. The reason 'The Number' is a point of speculation, for me at least, is that it indicates where Target is headed, what the cloudy roadmap may contain. If the extremely skilled TTS TMs and contractors that I work with are released then surely I will be RIF'd sooner or later, too. Frankly I don't want to be here without them. There's a lot of self-interest for people in pyramids other than TTS, we're all watching this carefully, some fearfully. I'm not fearful for myself, I'm getting tired of the stress and wouldn't mind starting over, although I still love the work I do at Target.

BC said it wasn't going to be a large number... Now, this is coming from a guy who knows from dizzying numbers so take that into account, but if he said its not a large number I'm going with the guess of 300 or so.
