How many non-H1B engineers could have been saved?

Well.... You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that if they had waited until this week to do the share buyback, they would have paid about $3 billion for the same amount of shares instead of $5 billion. That extra $2 billion would have paid the salary for at about 4,500 engineers for at least 3 years.
Enough for Qualcomm US to now be broke and needing to issue DEBT to pay for it. Go figure.
