true, it is guaranteed that the newly acquired Rosetta employees will not be let go for at least 3 years, it would cost too much to do so. The ROSE severance package is much better than the Noble one. And as a Noble employee I thought the merger when announced was a good thing. I have yet to meet any of the newly acquired employees. But, from the grapevine I have heard some incredible stories about the circus that existed at Rosetta. Just when I thought it could not get worse here, Noble adds some people that will make the environment here even worse. All I want to do is to do my job and not get dragged down into the corporate BS
Look at the agreement between Noble and Rosetta Resources, those people can't be let go for at least 3 years. If you think about it, those who ran their properties into the ground get to stay to ruin Noble while the Noble faithful are shown the door
In the long run the best thing that could happen to you is getting "kicked to the curb" by Noble. There are FAR better places to work,
Let's see who likes the badge of honor when Dave kicks you to the curb. Be glad to before it gets any worse.
"badge of honor?" What a piece of crap he is.
I heard Dave Stover today in Denver talking about Noble and it's position in the DJ Basin. He talked about layoffs as a "badge of honor". How "quickly" they reacted to declining prices by cutting jobs. If you think he cares about any of us you better think again.
So "Noble" of Noble's management to take care of their own loyal employees!
the only ones safe are the Rosetta employees who under the terms of the merger were guaranteed jobs for the next three years. they basically just have to show up as they can't be let go, so unfortunately some good Noble people will be forced out to accomodate
It is just a matter of when.
