99% of the posters are a bunch of f'ng whiny people who only seek their boat not to be rocked. Complacency filled Target HQ floors for years. Now, it seems that BC is looking to make Target a well-oiled machine, and you poor people don't like it, because you are going to be forced to do real-work, to work 8-5, no more 9-3, no more 2-hour lunches and no more GTKY 1-hr coffee breaks that reduced your effective work time to 2 hours. Suck it up if you stay and learn to deliver your best, and if you are not up to the task, resign. Don't have the petty attitude of waiting to get laid off and get money just for spending wasted hours in the building and paying for your Starbucks. The hardest thing for you guys is going to be attempting to do any work in another company, since you don't know how do essential things, you avoid confrontational situations and many other things. Stay in TGT because you want to be part of the new target, not because you want the severance.

i think we have all been rick-rolled by this so-called socially responsible corporation. they are laughing at us from thier boardrooms fighting each other when we should be coming together and fighting them before they implement the next round of cost-cutting measures to benefit themselves.they think we are too afraid to unionize they may be correct

Dude..you are a jack Hole! You are one of these guys that does no wrong and thinks he works so much harder than everyone else. It's probably that you are really inefficient and it takes you twice as long and you try to be hero boy that puts in the long hours.
140644: Target is NOT great. Target HAS NEVER BEEN great. Target makes $70 billion dollars a year. That makes it big, but not great. You know very well what the h** I am talking about. If you happen to support TTS network or core infrastructure, well, that is a shtty job in any company, and it will make you work long hours. But nobody forced you to take that position...
OP, I don't know exactly what the h**l you talking about. Target is/will be great because of loyal and hard working employees (not you for sure). GTKYs are only for the effectiveness and collaboration between pyramids (oh I'm sorry we're supposed o say COEs now) & the ones who upusedupused the GTKYs....there is such a thing called carma. So how about you get back to work I'm assuming you're one of the ones that earns the big $$ and come to work for 5 hours a dayday so try to GSD over the weekend.
GTKYs aren't now and never were for us PG 15 and below.... We bust our tails every day. At least in my area. Not sure who drank the kook aid, but it sounds like someone that is NOT in core TTS support!

OP: I don't know what team you used to work on in TTS but it must have been nice to have these hours! My US team works from 6am to 5pm on most days - early hours required to partner with offshore teams. Our TI teams work insane hours - usually 10am to 11pm so they can partner with our U.S. Team.
Totally disagree. I've been with Target for over 26 years TGT Team Members know how to work. Theres a few (you) here who repeat the same rhetoric over and over and live/love to offend/bloviate etc, but the majority are woking hard trying to make it through this. Hang in people!
