yeah since some of the top guys are Indian, including the CTO and the previous COP, they've been making sure that Indians are selected for management positions. This process reinforced itself overtime and now Indians are all over the place... It is NOT easy to find an Indian who is not a manager/technical manager of some sort in tech centers.

Most Indians are here legally and are willing to study and do what it takes to better themselves - and yes schooling in English has helped which is why you will see many of them in white collar jobs in Engg and Science while the current American generation considers it 'uncool' and nerdy. Globalization is not going back in the bottle and your 'all American' CEOs are the ones offshoring work in bulk to countries where it can be done cheaper just as all manufacturing shifted to China the last decade. What a stupid post. Having spent three years managing in India and having Indian's report to me back in "western society" these people are some of the most hard working, most honest people I've ever met. If there are here then someone here saw the same characteristics as I have described to have brought them here. Like everyone, they want to bette their and their family's lives - what's wrong with that? Open your eyes and minds - Schlumberger don't need people like you working for us.
There are certainly fundamental difference between the two nations. Chinese are good and hard working people. Indians in general are not. They always want to take from someone what is not theirs. To me, the meaning of conscience as a human quality is absent there.
Indians found Buddhism, Chinese took it to heart and practiced it in everyday life. But the the earlier tends to talk/bs as a way to get ahead while the later believes listening a virtue. What a contrast!!

There is a lot of cultural difference between India and other developed countries.
1st group generally has a chance to evolve/ learn and in my opinion are well behaved.
2nd group doesn't even know what they are doing is wrong/ unacceptable... probably stuck in the same cycle.

I am an immigrant and some of my best friends are Indian but I have to agree with some of the things being said about Indians in general. Deep down in Indian culture is the 1500 year old caste system in which people in higher caste believe they are superior to those in the lower one. To the extreme, there is a group of people in India called untouchables who are outcasts, people so unworthy to be ranked as beings. While the practices can not be the same when Indians migrated to other countries this belief is reflected in the ways some Indians interact with other people in the workplace. I dont think the statement about Indians trying to invade other countries is correct as companies brought in large number of Indian workers to reduce costs, and next thing you know they have their three generation family here happily living under the same roof:)
For Indians who got offended by what being said here, you really have works cut out for you or you could also choose to ignore it. I saw Indian bosses yelled at people (with graduate degrees) regularly as well as expecting their reports to work weekend, holidays and vacation. Some enjoyed laying off long term successful employees, seemingly to prove they superiority. Very few of us think we are doing anything wrong unless we have genuine concerns for the well being of others--a courtesy not often granted to Indian untouchables in your country.

I really did not want to be involved in this kind of arguments but my understanding is that Indians from India have always claimed that they are the true Aryans and Caucasians. Is not what they teach them in schools in India from the 1st grade? Also, Indians are no longer a minority in the US, UK, Canada or Australia. So, then someone states and youself support that Indians invaded the English-speaking world, this could be a fact based on the population censuses and as such, is not racism. There is no evidence that e.g. Chinese invaded these countries or the EU, thus nobody stated it . I support the other's remarks that yes Indians indeed invaded all English-speaking countries and yes, if this trend progresses as its now, then yes again there will not be jobs for the native-borns of these countries in already 2-3 decades. There is evidence that Europe experiences intensive fluxes of Muslims and Christians from Syria, Iraq and Libya into EU but they are refugees and have nowhere else to run. Why - its a different question and a question of a wrong politics. In terms of Indians - they are not refugees and they don't need to survive as e.g. Africans centuries ago or Jews all the time. No, Indians indeed think that there are superior to all others and this is the exact reason that they invade - show it to everyone by the way they treat others in these countries, the way they take these jobs from others, the way they act at work, and the way how they make their money.

Wrong. I just waited for a couple of weeks for another interview where the manager was not from India. Neither of them was a million-dollar job, though the later paid a little less , I accepted it, but I work in a cleaner work environment free of brides, backstabbing asskissing etc. This is true in any field inc. academia, technical, medical, manufacturing, especially oiland gas.
I got a million dollars job and it was range by a ignorant spiteful kkk. I backed out immediately. I am unemployed.

You just dont know what tricks they're going to pull next, they like to take your works right in front of you with a smile, not constrained by any protocols or principles or expected behaviors, and they believe they own you if you happen to report to one (schedule silly meetings while you're officially on vacation:) They have zero interests in doing the right thing for the company or anyone. Companies like them because at the surface they would do whatever it takes and willing to please their superiors.

If you want your kids to have jobs, this must be stopped. There are billions of them, and there is no official number of how many of them are here and out there. They are not a minority anymore. This dominance over other peoples cannot be tolerated as any civilized society entails synergy rather.
