Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

If our CEO cared about more than out stock price....

... We would've seen some improvement to POS stability and in stocks. Oooops!

I, as a shareholder, am quite annoyed how we can't get the two most basic functions of retail right. Says a lot more about the health of this company than the temporary and artificially inflated stock price. The bubble will burst sooner than later unless we actually make real progress on those fronts.

We all work for the Shareholders, they are the owners. We all might have a small slice of ownership ourselves (somewhat self employed in that sense). However your 401k/Ira is invested, you want companies operating efficiently and maximizing your return so you can retire someday.

It would be nice if the leadership team cared about the employees, but it is what it is right now. Maybe once things turn around and we get back to real growth, team members matter again.

Of course the CEO cares about the stock price - there's something called 'Shareholders'' you putz.
