JM just promoted and TT is now only responsible for team member welfare, wtf?

JM is in that role because the company needs him there. He's incredibly smart, his teams trust and like him, and he's both strategic and practical. Plus, he pulls no bull$hit and his humble act isn't an act. I have no doubt his new teams are going to see some big change; too bad Finance loses another leader to fix $hit around the rest of the company
And JM has to get BC to approve.
Now all these Executive VP and SVPs have to get JM to approve what they should be able to decide....back to the future. I really think BC wants to put a clown between him and execution so he can claim "not my fault" down the road when things go down the drain and transformation fails to solve Target's problems. Expensive transformation at that.
Remembering your name qualifies him to be the new COO? Just saying that he has one set of rules for himself and another for the rest of Target.
I have known JM since he joined the company and he is the real thing. This was many years ago and even though we haven't worked on the same floor for well over a decade, he still greets me by name the few times we pass in the skyway. No arrogance at all. Very good to have the Target influence with all of the new blood injected into the executive suite.
Every other leader post transformation is expected to have 12 direct reports, but JM is only going to have 6 and they are all leaders no ICs. Can't practice what he preaches. Only do what I say ain't going to fly JM, a little what I do would show you are convinced.
If I want to piss away a few hours on a rainy Sunday afternoon watching ted talks, fine, I'll do it on my time. I refuse to fall behind on my work watching ted talks and then spend a NICE sunday afternoon in the office trying to catch up.
Unfortunately 137076, Fall National Meeting has been reborn as Fall National week, could things get any worse. BC just a wants everyone to be miserable. RIF ain't sounding too bad.
JM days numbered. Being in charge of stores and supply chain at Target is deadly to the career. BC setting him up to fail.
This is probably one of those moves to distract everyone that might be reviewing upcoming earnings release, what kind of bad news might be coming?
Maybe JM could release the earnings early again, worked well for his career last time it seems.
We sure don't need both JK and TT looking out for TMS. Someone should be gone.
Let's see; if you factored in stock options, bonuses, and unused vacation... probably many people
How many team members doing actual work could be saved if just one TT cut loose?
Unless the strategy is a merger with Amazon, there is no reason to go any further.
All will be revealed at the Fall Sales Meeting - if you can stomach attending it and if you havent' been RIF'd
BC has convinced himself and C-suite yokels that the strategy is now clear, what is the strategy again and what has convinced them it is working?
