The latest M/C all-hands gives me full confidence that the layoffs and job transfers to lower wage countries will continue well beyond 2016. These Sickamore dudes still don't realize what the root cause of the problem is! The market for Q chips is quickly deteriorating as competitors have finally caught up with matching and better products, and all they can think of is to come up with a 'new' "brilliant" management structure and GTFO plan, already tried and shown to fail by every company which deployed it. It's so much easier to continue to be part of the problem than figure out how to actually fix this for good, or at least in the short term.

Qualcomm's dominance in San Diego will continue to shrink now that SM is running the show. I predict in a couple of years Qualcomm's presence in SD will be radically smaller.
There wpuld be multiple waves of layoffs unless the numbers look good again for Qual comm
This is just the beginning
Using temp as variable is poor coding practice
Why do you think it's any better in a job?

at least 2 rounds. CWF and full time hit. High perform CWF will be retained.
As a temp in any company, you should know your ass is out sooner than any employee. Been like that at every company I've worked for.
Temps are temps, they are here in a temporary arrangement, they do not count in any equitation (except as an expense on a balance sheet)
Temps are not hired on as employees because they are be let go at anytime without severance.
OP, you must be not working at Q.
you are outsider.
