Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

there are Q people on this board that know whether or not the 820 is overheating. Please post and tell us the truth either way. Because if those

rumors are true then do you realize people what that means for Qualcomm ????? I think right now that is the single most important issue that needs to be clarified and has significant repercussions if true.

Anonymous118929: If what you are saying is true then I believe you just disclosed "company proprietary confidential" info on public board AND also provided enough info to identify yourself in this Anonymous site.SO I can't help thinking that you are one of those IDIOT STATUS COLLECTORS who has no clue. If it's wrong then you should be safe...

i work on the 820 first hand and see power, performance and thermal updates regularly. thermal has not been a problem at all this time around with much thanks to the new ff process node. sad these false rumors spread so far and publicly, but arguing with them just makes us look defensive and draws more attention to the topic. oh well, the public will see soon enough when devices are available. nobody will care about rumors when third party tests confirm otherwise.

Don't listen to rumors. Designers had this revolutionary idea, wanted to come with some innovative solutions and finally realized it. 820 is actually a custom designed well-planned multi-purpose CPU to be severed both on smart phones and also applications that need extra heat like toasters & instant coffee makers.

The Snapdragon 810 and snapdragon 820 are no different when it comes to overheating.. The overheating problem apparently remains unsolved. It's public knowledge. Maybe the Snapdragon 8billion will have it cleaned up. More than likely the chip division will die first
