Qualcomm IP is dead without a hand in actual production.

Why not spin off chip business and dump it apple/msft or goog but keeping IP ourselves? let them pick up cost of dismantling it later. Kinda how NOKIA fooled msft big time....Satya might be interested in us to compete with msft and give blow to android...let him burn some msft cash on us.
My guess is that we wiil go back to ARM kind of model, just create and sell IP and let others integrate our IP ( Modem,BT,WIFi..IOT?) it to their chipset. QC started making chip to expedite adoption of its cellular tech,that is not needed now so making chip does not make much sense now..
there is little left for innovation in Qs core competency as shanon limit is reached more or less. it may actually good for QTL and QCT to be separated. my 2 cents.
