Layoffs or not, the only known fact is that the discussion is unhealthy on this forum. Use the EAP. This is not a troll.

Our company offers a terrific EAP (employee assistance program). A common misconception is therapy is only for those on the verge of suicide. It is not true. Anyone can benefit from learning more about themselves, on a deeper level. For the technologists, think of such a service as a way to optimize the software running in your brain.

Push into the path of mindfulness, personal growth, health and fitness, etc. This will help the take edge off in the coming weeks.

OP: Sorry, but EAP workers are just hired guns for QCOM. They may have to respect the P/T privilege, but they also provide butt coverage for QCOM if the company is sued. (QCOM can say you came to them and they did everything they could to help....Blah, blah.) If youpeople have mental health issues, use the health plan and consult your own psychiatrist/therapist--whichever is more effective for you. Health Ins. Plan must cover it under ACA. (Amt. may vary, depending on coverage.) HR has been told about the issues related to overwork, management backstabbing, and silos of Balkanization in various divisions, but has STILL done nothing! EAP referral isn't going to do anything, either. You have to help yourself. And you aren't the only person on this board who knows what they're talking about.

EAP means Employee Attrition Program, Not employee assistance program.

DEFINITION of 'Attrition' :The reduction in staff and employees in a company through normal means, such as retirement and resignation. This is natural in any business and industry.

I've already been "LaId off", why was this EAP never mentioned to me durine the process. I was also tortured and abused. Am I still eligible EAP or it's a lawsuit a better approach?

Please send these details to Executive team ,They badly need reprogramming of their brain s/w. Current s/w if very faulty and hit deadlock frequently, need reboot to recover...
