Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Strike to Intel- join me

Hi All,

There is nothing more powerful and more media business impact if we join together and strike Intel as a whole.

Intel can be whatever but fair treatment, employee care and options for people to develop must be an overall strategy.

All those years of work and commitment can not be nothing than bye bye.

If you act alone nothing will be done. I am one of those in intel with a ISP and I am tired to see this whole thing.

If we get together, plan a strike with a list of needs to pursue then somebody and the CEO at Intel will hear us and we will sit to talk and negotiate.

This is not a dictatorship... rather this is a call for our rights and must be paying respect to ourselves and not accepting any less from this company.

If you like please reply this blog or send me email to engineering@materialstools.solutions with your contact info. I will lead a network meeting with a list of times to begin a big impact case. Also I will follow this blog so we can get a number of people fast and get to act soon.

Best regards,

Intel employee 101

You will never win in disputing ssl 4 or 5 to Intel HR or management, because you will deal with the same manager who gave it to you and who will be more defensive than ever and HR is not on your side. So the best bet is still file EEOC complaint. You might not win but could have an impact.

To me contesting the ssl 4 or 5 your manager gave you this year or last year is most practical. Focus your defense against those unfair and unethical managers.

I am starting my new job on July 27 but Intel ruined so many life so I like to help raise the flag when I see something is wrong and it could perhaps help you, your family, my family in the future if we find yourself in this scenario getting out of the door because they didn't give you enough stocks and then punish you for not giving you enough stocks without any warnings.

I will file EEOC complain on Monday. If over 80% of was over 40 it should trigger an investigation.

I agree on the idea to file EEOC complaint and have been considering of doing that. It is difficult to prove age discrimination or any other grounds upon which you file your complaint, but filing a complaint would generate an investigation, which would uncover many truths about your laid-off. If there is a lot of investigation, Intel would feel its impact and choose not to continue to ignore it. If you believe you got laid off not really because of poor performance as Intel claims, you should file a complaint. This seems to be most practical way to get back some justice and dignity.

I will suggest, based on my talk with EEOC, for each of you to call and the file EEOC complaint. If you are above 40yrs- you have Age Discrimination case, if you can show you were on medical leave or you a physical ailment, even like occasional stammer or stuttering - btw it is recognized disability, instead of accommodating, Intel will tell you to attend presentation or some communication sessions. The bozos don't understand it is because of underlying brain disability due to rush of information). If you are a minority use race, ethnic, national origin. If you are female use gender discrimination coz your boss was a misogynist.

Also, there was no due process, the commerce clause of the constitution applies to Intel and the employee who were identified for ISP with proper notice of their performance and using Stock Level as reason in determination, as after the fact, have a valid cause of action against damn Intel for violating Federal laws because losing a job is equal to losing property rights.

I strongly urge all those affected to file EEOC complaint, this will be consolidated and Intel will become a joke, BK will lick his own ass. You 300 days to file this form date of your termination notice. Please do it ASAP though.May be some one savvy can create a support group website and we can all meet as this goes on. If any HR layer is seeing this post let that asshole respond too this post- this is a challenge.

Hello again,

This is a bit beyond the cases we hold... age, stock level and bad reputations because of performance issues. We need to change the way Intel operates and chances are that in the big picture we in fact can change it. This not only for you, it is for the amount of people we collectively represent, those who are in the same case and their families. Intel was a great company. Looking at their financials this quarter, they profited because of a TAX exception without it Intel would report 43 c a share instead of 55 c and that would be a problem prediction for the stock. This is in other words so much for the but pronounced layoffs are coming and the company is going downwards.

My proposal is 3 points:

1) Get back to what we know is ours legally.

We probably will not get our jobs back and the layoff is erroneous and the process is not giving you a chance to move forward. Who will find a job with these issues and notes on your references. This point will focus on:

a) Redeployment is activated for 3-6 months.

b) Training to gain other skills is also activated 3-6 months.

c) Ability to reach out externally to expose to other companies during this time.

2) Innovation on new businesses.

With the redeployment is also possible to create and to innovate. People will be allowed to network and interact to create some ideas for new businesses cases. These mean a set of groups with engineering-finance-business areas to elaborate on the plans. We may have all those within the layoff so then let them work together.

a) Groups are organized to create ideas- selected program managers are listed and members as well.

b) Selected ideas and potential ones are presented and funded. This is within a partnership consulting company paid by Intel e.g. BTS.com

c) Employ yourself and growth your own business.

3) Leadership and strategy skills- results oriented

Most of people in Intel lack these set of skills, the focal has no metrics and we need to polish them altogether. We need the set of skills and leverage our mentorship, coaching and networking. The proposal here lies into creating a place where people can voice problems to solve, needs, businesses attributes, economic values and leadership.

a) Need a Dale Carnegie training program activated for the people on the program.

b) Form groups of leadership and strategy learning at Intel.

c) Create audits and metrics on how this helps Intel to develop people careers and leadership.

I am convinced that we can strike and that is a way to get our attention going. However our way to address the problem is totally different. We would like to help to overcome the problems not simple however this is chance to get it back and work for it. No short cuts, we embrace where we are and will help to come back.

Any comments please send those. e.g. 84 people views and only 2 replies, really? lets be aggressive and proactive to this.

Rgds,

Intel 101

To be honest, this day and age of people taking care of themselves, I don't see what a strike will get you? There's a 100% chance Intel will ignore you. Even if you can get the media involved. If you can get 350 or more employees to band with you on this strike you want, you will only get 15 minutes of fame on the local news. What do you mean negotiate? Negotiate what? You expect people to go on strike with no broad outline in this thread explain what you are negotiating for? Uh, I have to say maybe Intel was right in letting you go.

Remember this, Oregon and Arizona are "Right to Work" states. Go read up on that and you will understand why a strike won't bring anyone out of Intel to negotiate with. The only thing you can do is find a legal flaw in the way Intel handled the layoff and find a lawyer. Beyond that, good luck on your next endeavor.
