Qualcomm exiting custom cpu business and only use stock ARM?

Is there any truth to this rumor? kinda make sense in current competitive business scenario.

You're talking about the same company that spent literally hundreds of man-years developing it's own flavor of Linux, now switching to standardized ARM? Somehow this does not make sense to me--given the planning skills of our current upper management.

I also heard that raleigh cpu group is letting go ( some server folks stay)...impact on s/w groups are not clear but cutting down APSS headcount to reflect this change seems to make sense... i just heard from 2 sources so not very confident.
