What a no ..I just realized how bad its skewed up at the top . Fire half of VPs and half of directors problem will be solved .
If some one has time and know the trick to search on ph can pull out the exact figure .

Agree completely, reduce VP and director numbers for good, this will make QC a better company.
I think the layoffs of this size (4000 ) will happen group wise ....they might shut down entire groups .....so everyone engg to VPs might have to go...which might be the case.....
also there will be selective layoffs happen then it will be PIP + non_performance + difficult to work with etc..... but the writing is on the wall...
QC is run by a bunch white old boy network. It is not too surprising, considering who were the founders and how QC lean toward legal strategy. Junior engineers and H1B’s are pretty much screwed. H1B is meant to provide a contract for foreign nationals to work in US for a predetermined period. It is the easiest way for QC to reduce headcount by letting go H1B’s at the end of the term.
Cost wise it would make most sense to let the VPS and directors go because they are at least 5 times more expensive than engineers. But that's not how QC treats people with years of seniority.
New hires with the least investment (training) will go first and any engineer who received a 3 or below recently will be next.
Better yet check out diversity of those VP/directors. How many women? How many minorities? It is a pretty dismal picture. Sad commentary on the good ol boy network.
I also looked in to it and it made be very worried...looks like so many cooks spoiling the dish...There is one VP who recently posted about his struggle to even get hired as Sr engineer...So we should not judge book by its cover ( title)
