I've been with Labs for years and make under $40,000 annually. I'm a coordinator 1. I've been fed every possible line you can imagine about salary increases, such as:
-
When things get better, salaries will go up.
-
ISO certification will give all of us raises, just hold on
-
HR tells us your salary and we (management) have no control over it
-
It's just not in the budget this year, maybe next year.
-
Keep working hard and you will be rewarded.
-
Your work is good, but no one at this time can get 'good' reviews.
Objectively, I really don't suck at my job.. and I am (somewhat) happy to have this job. Throughout these layoffs I figured I was safe because my salary is so low for the work Weatherford gets out of me. I told my manager that if I quit and someone else is hired doing the same job, they'll make double what I make. Manager didn't disagree.
I'm fed up with Weatherford Labs' BS and plan on leaving as soon as I find something else for more money (inside or outside of Weatherford). I know WTF Labs salaries generally suck, anyone else dealing with this type of stuff?
