Leaked info from the company that is leading this layoff effort. Roughly 5k job cuts in the US and 3k hirings at low cost centers, effectively bringing headcount reduction number to 2k.

Yet another story of jobs going overseas. Layoffs in the US and movement of jobs offshore will drive stock prices up. JANA is happy - the "Big Boys" at QC make their $$$ and jump ship - "the peasants" are left to wallow in the mud like pigs.
I heard the same thing from someone up high. This number does not include temps.
