Why Wait to fire them!

If you are reading this probably you are multitasking
Better campaign idea: "Wait, What?"
Steve, Samsung is dropping Q in their flagship device "Wait, What?"
Steve, The stock is tumbling below $65: "Wait, What?"
Steve, employees are literally jumping off buildings under your watch: "Wait, What?"
Susan Lancing has been doing that stuff at Atheros. Sucking up to execs to get promoted to an important sounding, useless job. Then coming up with inane, expensive campaigns, and finally celebrating her own colossal achievements. A despicable creature.
Speaking of that ugly "brain" banner on Bldg N - that thing completely creeps me out. And then to have a "model" of it inside the building in a plexiglas case - that's even worse. Worst ad campaign ever - and the "Why Wait" is a close 2nd.
Appealing to nerds instead of the general lemming population was the first mistake. I think the overall message was supposed to be some hybrid of "Intel Inside" and "Think Different", but all "WhyWait" achieves is the alliteration of the former, and the grammatical error of the latter, with none of the genius media campaigns which made those truly memorable. Cartoon dragons were much better. Kids like dragons, not envisioning a future where drones can monitor some crisis situation. If the drone turned into a cartoon dragon and gave Little Jimmy a high five -- now we're getting somewhere! QC should be leveraging the snapdragon name, not some strange wire brain. Isn't QC supposed to be a WIRELESS company?
@ 115414: I missed that survey--but then I get hundreds of work emails daily, and have a tendency to trash the crap that isn't work or benefits related. But in case any of the PR/HR/Marketing people are hanging out on this board, the campaign sucks. Heavily. And that's not just my opinion. And in case you think I don't know anything about marketing, how exactly does the slogan "Why wait...." reinforce the name of the brand or the qualities of your product in the consumer's mind?
Susan Lansing and team should be let go for coming up with that awful ad campaign!!
yes, very lame. Hate the sign on the building
And they have the balls to ask feedback on the "Why Wait" campaign. I started to fill it out but quit after they showed the video. It wasn't a survey, it was another rally in disguise!
@115365: When your buyers only care about specs and price, you are dealing with another variant of the Walmart business model. This is an ultimate lose/lose situation for the producer. The buyer monopolizes your workforce/capital/output; and ultimately, you can wind up selling product for less profit than it costs you to operate.
"... can I get a 2BuckChuck to go with that marketing campaign"?
"... can I get a 2BuckChuck to go with that marketing campaign"?
"... can I get a 2BuckChuck to go with that marketing campaign"?
"... after 30 years we're excited to announce our marketing campaign..."
I was just released from this company last year and I got a just call while at my new job asking me if I'd like a temp position. I said, GTFO!
Anonymous115365, the reason it matters is because we spent MILLIONS on this campaign and right about now, that could be used to save some folks' jobs!!!!!!
What difference does the marketing campaign make? We don't sell direct to consumer, and all our customers care about is specs and price (not always in that order), so the only point can be internal morale. As far as that goes, it's nice enough in a vague way.
I agree, it was most idiotic marketing campaign I have seen so far....
